Video Marketing

Live Forever Like Jake From State Farm

You know that video marketing is everywhere when people are getting ready to press “skip” on a YouTube video ad before they even know for sure that a video ad is going to play. Video ads have become a part of everyday life and some are better than others. Your video ad doesn’t have to be one that people will “skip,” however, just make sure it’s short and hard-hitting. The key to having an engaging video is to make sure that it is made for people’s short attention spans.

Short-form videos have proved to be the best way to go in today’s busy world. There are certain advantages to this, like not having to worry about going too much in depth about your business. Appealing to people’s emotions becomes the most important factor of success in your video marketing. People end up buying something based on emotion. A kid gets excited when they see enticing treats at a grocery store packaged in a colorful wrapper. Adults get excited when they see a cool car and they just want something awesome to drive around. There may not be a logical reason of needing a new outfit or a new car or sugar-filled candy, but we tend to buy based on emotion.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your viewers want to see the personality of your business and videos are a great way to showcase that. Using short videos to show your day-to-day tasks, the thoughts behind the business, the daily ups and downs of your business, and the like, is a great way to create a video that will have impact.

Videos that are shorter have many advantages. They are easy to share, and they tend to be more memorable. We tend to remember short and meaningful parts of video ads. For example, have you ever wondered whatever happened to “Jake from State Farm?” This 30-second ad is arguably one of their best ones, and you will not be surprised to see that Jake from State Farm’s legend lives on today.

The world is your stage and using video marketing is a great way to share your message with the billions of people who are waiting to hear what you say.

Beckoned By The “Play” Button: The Importance Of Online Video Advertising

Online video advertising is going strong and there are a lot of great reasons to start making it work for your business. First off, everyone starting an online business is looking for a great return on investment. You put a lot of time and effort into getting things going, and it is important to you that it wasn’t all for nothing. Using video advertising is a great way to help increase your chances of a nice ROI. 83% of businesses say they get a good ROI with video. It is important to note that a video doesn’t have to be flawless. According to recent studies, the main reason people may not be into a video is when it doesn’t explain what you are selling very clearly. Turns out, lower quality and not the best video design is not something people care about nearly as much as they care about having the product explained well. So…explain well and just get them out there!

Buying stuff online still seems risky for some people. They are scared of being cheated and they need to have trust in your online business to feel confident buying from you. 57% of consumers report that videos have helped them feel confident buying something online. Building trust is very important, and videos allow you to create those relationships with your customers so that they see you as someone who wants to help you and give you useful information.

What is all this about Google liking videos? It is pretty simple. When you have videos on your website, people spend more time on your website, even if they weren’t planning on watching a video but couldn’t help but be dazzled by the pretty colors and pictures and beckoned by that “play” button. Longer time spent on your site by people lets the search engines know that your website must have some great content on it. Studies have even shown that you are 53 times more likely to rank first in Google if your website features a video.

Bottom line: You still don’t have a video on your website??!!

Fast Forward To Success With Video Marketing

If you are anything like me, you scroll to the bottom of a page of text to see how long it is before you start reading it, or you look at how long a video is before you start watching it. A shorter block of text or a shorter video instantly gets more points because you are short on time and you don’t want to get into something that will take too long to finish.

Anything that can speed up the process of getting to know a product and buying a product is good in today’s fast-paced world. Short and to-the-point copy is great, and videos are even better. Everyone is busy and no one has time to figure out what it is that you are selling or how exactly the product or service works. This is where videos come in, they save a lot of frustration and hassle for the customer by letting them know why they need your product or service up-front and quickly.

Videos have numerous benefits and they will surely give you a leg up when it comes to fast-forwarding your online success. You have probably heard about how video marketing can boost your search engine rankings, get you more exposure, build trust, and get you more sales. The bottom line is that you can build true value with video and you can’t do that with other channels. If your video is short and meaningful, you can draw viewers in before they rush out of your online store.

Enough about the benefits of video, it is time to take action. Creating your own videos or hiring a marketing company to create them for you is a nice way to get your feet wet in the world of video marketing. Who knows, you may find something meaningful in the water.

Video Advertising Trends That Have Hit The Play Button

You probably have heard about video advertising and you may be wondering what all the fuss is about and if it is really worth getting a video onto your online store or your social media platforms. It is important to note that the market for online videos is expected to more than double this year, making it worth your time to learn more about video marketing.

One of the trends in video marketing is brands becoming publishers. Customers don’t care who their compelling content comes from as long as it is interesting and it is thought-provoking. Brands have become a lot more open to talking to customers directly, and that is done well through video. Video marketing makes people want to view ads, as the ad is more like a story rather than an ad. People are willing to give their full attention to the brand while the video is playing, giving the brand truly a chance to shine.

Another important trend in video advertising is mobile video ads. People are increasingly watching videos on their mobile device, whether it is a smartphone or a tablet. Although the thought used to be that a mobile screen is too small to enjoy quality content, tons of people are watching videos on their mobile devices. With today’s technology, a video can perform very well on any mobile device and is a great way to get a lot of information from a smaller screen.

Videos are great for native advertising as well. Native advertising is an ad that doesn’t actually look like an ad, and blends in with the non-advertising material of a website or publication. Videos intended to advertise are being blended in seamlessly with the rest of a site’s material, and it seems that soon we won’t even be able to tell if it’s just a video or a video ad. With native advertising, viewers naturally are drawn to the ads and want to know more. These are just some of the trends in online video advertising. Hitting the play button on your own video advertising campaign will surely be worth it.

Skeptical About Online Video Advertising? I Used To Be, Too.

Advertising trends are always changing and everyone might be skeptical about jumping on a new one at first. Online video advertising has been making a huge impact as an excellent way to attract and retain customers, and I admit that as a marketing professional, I too was wondering if this was just another fad, designed to suck money out of business owners’ pockets. However, I realized that this stuff really works, and it works on me, even as someone who has seen so much marketing that I have become immune to it.

One particular moment when I realized just how awesome video marketing is happened when I was working on putting together some advertising copy for a client’s site. They sell travel accessories and on first glance, it seemed like a fresh and cool idea, but it wasn’t clear what exactly they were selling, and I was a little confused. I was about to write it off as just another pointless site, and then a video on their home page caught my eye and I was intrigued by the colors and the images and saw that it was only one minute long, so decided it wouldn’t hurt to take a minute to watch it. I had other stuff to do and don’t usually spend time watching videos on people’s sites, but I just couldn’t help myself. I was very curious what they put in this video.

The short video told me way more about the client’s site than the text on their site that I was taking a lot longer to read and make sense of before watching the video. (I never really did get what the site was about just by reading the text). Before watching the video, I was confused and the site seemed complicated and I had trouble making sense of what kinds of travel accessories they were selling. It said they were selling travel tools, but did that mean literally tools like to repair things? Were they focusing on dry bags and outdoor travel? Were they offering phone chargers? After watching the one minute video, my mental fog was instantly cleared away and it was crystal clear what they were selling. I went from thinking that I would never buy something from them to thinking that it would make my travel a whole lot easier if I did buy something from them for my future travel needs.

The video explained very clearly and effectively what the website is offering and why I should care. After watching it, I learned that they are helping to take the stress out of traveling by offering great ways of getting organized, powered up, and packed, in a nutshell. The video explained that travel is stressful and how the site’s products would help me to have all the electronic chargers I would need, all the packs and bags I would need to hold my things, alarm clocks, even outdoor supplies for camping and hiking. The video even highlighted a few products towards the end, and I thought, yeah, these would be very valuable to have and I was already picturing myself using them on future journeys. The video reminded me of the stress of travel and offered some great solutions. There was just something about seeing a real person talk about the products in the video that was interesting and drew me in. The video was really simple, with just a person basically talking for a minute in front of the same background, but it did its job.

As someone who has been in marketing for a long time, if something catches my interest, it means that it must really work. The video that this site had on their home page made me go from being inclined to brush off my initial interest to thinking that this is a really nice site with some really valuable products I would love to purchase. I no longer needed to spend time going through the product categories and trying to make sense of what they are selling because the video said it all very quickly. The moral of the story? Online video advertising works!

Be The Caring Friend, Not The Pushy Salesperson With Video Marketing

The bells have been rung, the relatives have shuffled in and out of the house, the carols have been sung, the decorations have been put away or have stayed up in hopes of keeping that festive mood going into the new year. You are now back to reality and looking at the new year from a fresh perspective and probably taking a hard look at your finances, your business ventures, and all of your other endeavors. You may have started an online business or are hoping to breathe some new life into your current online store. Whatever the case, taking a solid look at the best marketing strategies for the new year is a great way to get back to business.

You may have tried different marketing strategies for your online store in the past year and you are probably curious about the best strategies for the fresh start that you now have. One strategy has been clearly effective in the past year and is only blowing up even more and that strategy is video marketing. Taking a hard look at the benefits of video marketing for your online business is definitely worth it for numerous reasons.

Video marketing has many powers to make your online store way more attractive to customers. There have been many studies done on the way that video captures attention, for example. People don’t want to have to make their way through a long page of text or yet another pushy e-mail. A video is a much more interesting way to present your services or products as the customer’s friend rather than their salesperson. Establishing an emotional connection is another powerful reason to use video marketing. Even really good copy rarely makes people tear up, but there is something about watching a video that makes people instantly relate to your business. Videos make people laugh or cry much more easily than text.

Of course, getting your website noticed by the search engines is super important, and video really wins there. Video is great for organic website traffic, as it has been known to increase the number of people linking back to your website, drive more website visits, and higher click-through rates. People also tend to view videos as very valuable and they often will pay more for your services and share more details about themselves when you use video. It makes your business appear more professional and like something worth looking into.

As you are looking back on last year’s successes and maybe a few disappointments, I would encourage you to explore the benefits of video marketing as an important part of your revamped marketing strategy.

Plan on Adding Video Marketing to Your Tactics in the New Year

video marketingWith the end of the year drawing closer, now is a good time to start reevaluating the types of marketing tactics you used over the last year and determining how effective these were. You may discover that many of the tactics that you used were greatly beneficial, while others may not have had any noticeable effect. Taking the time to reevaluate at the end of this year will help you start the New Year right as far as your business goes.

If you’re interested in trying out some new types of marketing this year, you’ll definitely want to start thinking about using videos to market your business. Whether you purchase professionally built videos or make your own, these are proving to be very important to marketing online businesses. While many people have difficulty getting customers to read written content, videos are able to retain 37% of their audience all the way through to the end. This means that if you really want people to hear what you’re saying, videos are the way to go.

When you start using videos to market your business, don’t limit the videos to just staying on different pages of your website. While these are very beneficial sitting on website pages, you can increase the benefit of these videos by sharing them on social media and putting them on YouTube as well. This will get your videos seen by more people who may be interested in your business.

With a bit of video marketing in the New Year, you’ll likely be able to start seeing more visitors heading over to your website. Take some time to learn a bit about this type of marketing and then purchase some videos for your website or build some yourself if you have the tools to do so. You’ll be able to use these videos to explain your business, show off new products, and hold the attention of your audience with ease. Staying on top of this type of marketing will benefit your business in 2018.

Creating Online Video Advertising that Converts

online video advertisingWhile most companies are now beginning to accept that adding videos to their websites could be beneficial, not everyone is going about it the right way. It isn’t enough to just have videos on your website. You have to make sure that you have the right types of videos to actually convert your visitors into paying customers. Good videos have the ability to do this.

When you are making a video for your website, you have to make sure that the video is constructed correctly so that you’ll be able to attract visitors to the video and get them to watch the whole thing. Some keys to making a great video are keeping the video short and engaging rather than making it drag on, adding a call to action to the end of the video, and possibly including a link that will take people from YouTube to your website or from your home page to your shop page.

Creating your videos for your website with conversions in mind will help to make it so that you are able to more easily generate sales from the videos that you include. Videos can introduce your business, talk about specific products, or give an overview of what your business is all about. Ending each video with a clear call to action and having this video not only on your website, but also on YouTube, can help you to increase visitors to your site and paying customers as well.

Having a great strategy for online video advertising can help your business grow in ways that normal content can’t. Since visitors to the website tend to enjoy videos and get more interested in your products or your business through them, you can use this as a great type of content for your website. Most people are more likely to watch a video than read content, so it is a good idea to include both on your website. With the right kind of video advertising, you’ll be able to see your business blossom.

Video Advertising Is Bringing Content’s Reign As King To An End

Most of us know the term “content is king,” used by marketers and SEO specialists everywhere. The value of content to produce marketing results and to drive the internet as we know it has been undeniable. We create content for customers and internet-browsers alike to digest and indulge in. We have created search engines like Google that are totally based on exploring and discovering content.

In recent times, there has been a new kind of content that has emerged and is quickly becoming the new king of the internet. It is video marketing and it has been an even better way to engage people online and to convert them into paying customers. The rise of video is making its mark and it seems that the future looks very video-friendly, as video popularity is not expected to end anytime soon.

In e-commerce, video is becoming increasingly important, as even Facebook has recently added a new metric that allows advertisers to create better videos in the future by seeing how many people click through to their websites and apps. Facebook took notice of the popularity of videos a long time ago, and has been incorporating them on their platform more and more.

Online video advertising has been a proven great strategy to use. Companies that have taken advantage of video marketing have seen 41% more organic traffic, while landing pages that feature a video have 80% more conversions. Not only that, but videos are great for retaining information. People tend to retain 95% of the information found in a video but only 10% of information found in text. Lastly, people want more videos, as 43% of them are hoping that marketers will use videos more in the future. Considering this information, it looks like video’s reign as king is only beginning.

Video Marketing Can Increase Customer Engagement

video marketingAs you are working on marketing your website, one of the great ways to improve the way your site is presented is to add videos into the main pages of your website. It is a good idea to place videos on your main landing page and on other pages as well just because these are items that make your website a lot more appealing to customers coming to your website. Customers love seeing videos on social media and directly on your website and typically love watching these videos.

Most of the videos that go onto a website are known as explainer videos. These are very brief videos that work to explain a larger concept in a way that is easier for customers to absorb. The videos condense a lot of information that might be challenging to understand into something that can more easily present the information. The main benefits of this kind of video is that videos tend to increase customer engagement, getting them not only to remain on the site to watch the video, but then to continue looking at other content on the website.

Getting customers engaged and interested in what you are selling on your website is one of the most important steps towards getting them to buy items from your business. The longer customers stay on a website, the more involved they get when it comes to looking at all the products and learning more about your business. A video can make it a lot easier to convert anyone looking through your website to a customer.

With the right kind of video marketing, you’ll be able to make it so that your customers are more likely to purchase items from your website. With so much competition online today, it is important to do what you can to make your business stand out. Adding snappy, short, and entertaining videos to your website can really help to set you apart from the crowd. Consider spending some of your marketing dollars on these types of videos so you can work to market your business better.
