Zoom In On Your Business Benefits Using Video Marketing

Reaching potential customers online has been becoming so much easier now that we have video marketing to take advantage of. People are now expecting videos, and studies have found that potential customers will even lose interest when there is not a video available on the website they are looking at. If you haven’t considered video marketing yet, it’s not too late.

The benefits of video marketing reach far and wide. Considering that videos are making up 74% of online traffic, it has become more important than ever for your business to include a video or videos. Videos are particularly great for those businesses that are just getting started and those businesses that are looking to grow their online presence. Videos are shared often and they are an effective way to make an impact on people who have not heard about your business.

Videos are not only great for exposure, they help you to build a great reputation over time. Building a relationship with people is much easier with the help of video marketing. You can gain trust and start a conversation about your business. One study found that people are ten times more likely to interact with a video than with another kind of a post. When you have videos up, you show people that you care about their wants and needs and that you want to have an honest conversation with them.

Yet another great thing about videos is that they give people a sense of comfort and security in your business and what you are offering. It makes sense when you think about it, people may not be familiar with your products. A video is likely to be just the thing that will make potential customers feel like they get what your business is all about. Videos make people feel comfortable making a purchase, since they have gotten to know your business more and the benefits of purchasing are clear to them.

Getting people to stay on your website longer is much easier to do with a video as well. It is often too tempting not to click “play” on a video when you come to a website for the first time. Watching a video is likely to be the first thing someone does when they visit your online store. Once they start watching on the video, potential customers will likely stay on the website longer, all the while taking in more information and interacting with your website (maybe without even realizing it).

If you are looking to appeal to potential customers in the most powerful way, by making them feel something, you should really consider incorporating a video marketing strategy for your online business. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start, an online marketing company will be happy to show you the way!

Give Your SEO Some Muscle Power With Video Marketing

It is clear to see that video marketing has been exploding. Search for a big brand that everyone knows and you see videos pop up among the first few results. The brands that aren’t tapping into the advantages of videos have become less popular. Videos are easy to take in and they are easy to access and they tend to hold someone’s attention for longer.

So what does video marketing do in terms of SEO? Well, there are many benefits to videos when it comes to SEO. The fact that videos are so easy to watch means that people tend to spend a longer period of time watching them. This means that people are spending longer periods of time on your website. This increases your “dwell time,” which is what the search engines want to see. Longer dwell times tell the search engines that you must have some valuable content on your website. Therefore, you will have better ranking in the search engines for your website.

There are some guidelines that are best to follow to increase your chances of getting your videos to rank high in the search engines. Keeping your videos short is important. Videos that are 1 or 2 minutes long are a nice way to go. Sharing your videos on your social media pages is also good idea. Adding some good tags, keywords, and relevant titles to your videos also helps the search engines to crawl your videos more efficiently. Getting some good thumbnails for your videos is helpful as well. You want to avoid having a click-bait image though. If your image is just there to get people to click, you will not earn a good reputation in the long run.

Going with a good video (or several) as part of your SEO strategy is an awesome way to boost the effectiveness of your SEO.

No One Is Too Busy To Watch Videos

Online videos are great for hitting the sweet spot of the ideal combination of information and enticement when it comes to marketing your online business. Videos give you a chance to present the advantages of your business to a potential customer without being boring. People may be too busy to read text, but video-watching tends to sneak in throughout the day. Let’s take a look at how online videos have been hitting the sweet spot:

Video has impact as far as being able to appeal to a person’s emotions. Trends have shown that customers will take the time to watch a video related to a product they are looking for, if there is a video available. Being able to combine visuals with audio in the video makes for more of an impact than just text, and makes it easier to attract someone to buy when they have watched the video.

Online video advertising is perfect for people who are accessing an online store using their mobile devices. Videos can easily be watched on a smartphone or a tablet and they tend to do well among people using a mobile device to shop online. Making sure the video is short will ensure even better results for advertising to those shopping on mobile devices.

The search engines love to see videos. Videos are helpful to many people when looking for something online, and search engines have noticed this and are ranking websites with quality videos higher. Posting videos online helps people find your business when they are looking for what you offer, and search engines are all about helping people find what they’re looking for online.

Considering that more than 1 billion videos are shared on social media every day, it is worth ramping up your online marketing by incorporating videos. People seem to always find time to watch them.

Live Forever Like Jake From State Farm

You know that video marketing is everywhere when people are getting ready to press “skip” on a YouTube video ad before they even know for sure that a video ad is going to play. Video ads have become a part of everyday life and some are better than others. Your video ad doesn’t have to be one that people will “skip,” however, just make sure it’s short and hard-hitting. The key to having an engaging video is to make sure that it is made for people’s short attention spans.

Short-form videos have proved to be the best way to go in today’s busy world. There are certain advantages to this, like not having to worry about going too much in depth about your business. Appealing to people’s emotions becomes the most important factor of success in your video marketing. People end up buying something based on emotion. A kid gets excited when they see enticing treats at a grocery store packaged in a colorful wrapper. Adults get excited when they see a cool car and they just want something awesome to drive around. There may not be a logical reason of needing a new outfit or a new car or sugar-filled candy, but we tend to buy based on emotion.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your viewers want to see the personality of your business and videos are a great way to showcase that. Using short videos to show your day-to-day tasks, the thoughts behind the business, the daily ups and downs of your business, and the like, is a great way to create a video that will have impact.

Videos that are shorter have many advantages. They are easy to share, and they tend to be more memorable. We tend to remember short and meaningful parts of video ads. For example, have you ever wondered whatever happened to “Jake from State Farm?” This 30-second ad is arguably one of their best ones, and you will not be surprised to see that Jake from State Farm’s legend lives on today.

The world is your stage and using video marketing is a great way to share your message with the billions of people who are waiting to hear what you say.

Beckoned By The “Play” Button: The Importance Of Online Video Advertising

Online video advertising is going strong and there are a lot of great reasons to start making it work for your business. First off, everyone starting an online business is looking for a great return on investment. You put a lot of time and effort into getting things going, and it is important to you that it wasn’t all for nothing. Using video advertising is a great way to help increase your chances of a nice ROI. 83% of businesses say they get a good ROI with video. It is important to note that a video doesn’t have to be flawless. According to recent studies, the main reason people may not be into a video is when it doesn’t explain what you are selling very clearly. Turns out, lower quality and not the best video design is not something people care about nearly as much as they care about having the product explained well. So…explain well and just get them out there!

Buying stuff online still seems risky for some people. They are scared of being cheated and they need to have trust in your online business to feel confident buying from you. 57% of consumers report that videos have helped them feel confident buying something online. Building trust is very important, and videos allow you to create those relationships with your customers so that they see you as someone who wants to help you and give you useful information.

What is all this about Google liking videos? It is pretty simple. When you have videos on your website, people spend more time on your website, even if they weren’t planning on watching a video but couldn’t help but be dazzled by the pretty colors and pictures and beckoned by that “play” button. Longer time spent on your site by people lets the search engines know that your website must have some great content on it. Studies have even shown that you are 53 times more likely to rank first in Google if your website features a video.

Bottom line: You still don’t have a video on your website??!!

Fast Forward To Success With Video Marketing

If you are anything like me, you scroll to the bottom of a page of text to see how long it is before you start reading it, or you look at how long a video is before you start watching it. A shorter block of text or a shorter video instantly gets more points because you are short on time and you don’t want to get into something that will take too long to finish.

Anything that can speed up the process of getting to know a product and buying a product is good in today’s fast-paced world. Short and to-the-point copy is great, and videos are even better. Everyone is busy and no one has time to figure out what it is that you are selling or how exactly the product or service works. This is where videos come in, they save a lot of frustration and hassle for the customer by letting them know why they need your product or service up-front and quickly.

Videos have numerous benefits and they will surely give you a leg up when it comes to fast-forwarding your online success. You have probably heard about how video marketing can boost your search engine rankings, get you more exposure, build trust, and get you more sales. The bottom line is that you can build true value with video and you can’t do that with other channels. If your video is short and meaningful, you can draw viewers in before they rush out of your online store.

Enough about the benefits of video, it is time to take action. Creating your own videos or hiring a marketing company to create them for you is a nice way to get your feet wet in the world of video marketing. Who knows, you may find something meaningful in the water.

Video Advertising Trends That Have Hit The Play Button

You probably have heard about video advertising and you may be wondering what all the fuss is about and if it is really worth getting a video onto your online store or your social media platforms. It is important to note that the market for online videos is expected to more than double this year, making it worth your time to learn more about video marketing.

One of the trends in video marketing is brands becoming publishers. Customers don’t care who their compelling content comes from as long as it is interesting and it is thought-provoking. Brands have become a lot more open to talking to customers directly, and that is done well through video. Video marketing makes people want to view ads, as the ad is more like a story rather than an ad. People are willing to give their full attention to the brand while the video is playing, giving the brand truly a chance to shine.

Another important trend in video advertising is mobile video ads. People are increasingly watching videos on their mobile device, whether it is a smartphone or a tablet. Although the thought used to be that a mobile screen is too small to enjoy quality content, tons of people are watching videos on their mobile devices. With today’s technology, a video can perform very well on any mobile device and is a great way to get a lot of information from a smaller screen.

Videos are great for native advertising as well. Native advertising is an ad that doesn’t actually look like an ad, and blends in with the non-advertising material of a website or publication. Videos intended to advertise are being blended in seamlessly with the rest of a site’s material, and it seems that soon we won’t even be able to tell if it’s just a video or a video ad. With native advertising, viewers naturally are drawn to the ads and want to know more. These are just some of the trends in online video advertising. Hitting the play button on your own video advertising campaign will surely be worth it.

Skeptical About Online Video Advertising? I Used To Be, Too.

Advertising trends are always changing and everyone might be skeptical about jumping on a new one at first. Online video advertising has been making a huge impact as an excellent way to attract and retain customers, and I admit that as a marketing professional, I too was wondering if this was just another fad, designed to suck money out of business owners’ pockets. However, I realized that this stuff really works, and it works on me, even as someone who has seen so much marketing that I have become immune to it.

One particular moment when I realized just how awesome video marketing is happened when I was working on putting together some advertising copy for a client’s site. They sell travel accessories and on first glance, it seemed like a fresh and cool idea, but it wasn’t clear what exactly they were selling, and I was a little confused. I was about to write it off as just another pointless site, and then a video on their home page caught my eye and I was intrigued by the colors and the images and saw that it was only one minute long, so decided it wouldn’t hurt to take a minute to watch it. I had other stuff to do and don’t usually spend time watching videos on people’s sites, but I just couldn’t help myself. I was very curious what they put in this video.

The short video told me way more about the client’s site than the text on their site that I was taking a lot longer to read and make sense of before watching the video. (I never really did get what the site was about just by reading the text). Before watching the video, I was confused and the site seemed complicated and I had trouble making sense of what kinds of travel accessories they were selling. It said they were selling travel tools, but did that mean literally tools like to repair things? Were they focusing on dry bags and outdoor travel? Were they offering phone chargers? After watching the one minute video, my mental fog was instantly cleared away and it was crystal clear what they were selling. I went from thinking that I would never buy something from them to thinking that it would make my travel a whole lot easier if I did buy something from them for my future travel needs.

The video explained very clearly and effectively what the website is offering and why I should care. After watching it, I learned that they are helping to take the stress out of traveling by offering great ways of getting organized, powered up, and packed, in a nutshell. The video explained that travel is stressful and how the site’s products would help me to have all the electronic chargers I would need, all the packs and bags I would need to hold my things, alarm clocks, even outdoor supplies for camping and hiking. The video even highlighted a few products towards the end, and I thought, yeah, these would be very valuable to have and I was already picturing myself using them on future journeys. The video reminded me of the stress of travel and offered some great solutions. There was just something about seeing a real person talk about the products in the video that was interesting and drew me in. The video was really simple, with just a person basically talking for a minute in front of the same background, but it did its job.

As someone who has been in marketing for a long time, if something catches my interest, it means that it must really work. The video that this site had on their home page made me go from being inclined to brush off my initial interest to thinking that this is a really nice site with some really valuable products I would love to purchase. I no longer needed to spend time going through the product categories and trying to make sense of what they are selling because the video said it all very quickly. The moral of the story? Online video advertising works!

Be The Caring Friend, Not The Pushy Salesperson With Video Marketing

The bells have been rung, the relatives have shuffled in and out of the house, the carols have been sung, the decorations have been put away or have stayed up in hopes of keeping that festive mood going into the new year. You are now back to reality and looking at the new year from a fresh perspective and probably taking a hard look at your finances, your business ventures, and all of your other endeavors. You may have started an online business or are hoping to breathe some new life into your current online store. Whatever the case, taking a solid look at the best marketing strategies for the new year is a great way to get back to business.

You may have tried different marketing strategies for your online store in the past year and you are probably curious about the best strategies for the fresh start that you now have. One strategy has been clearly effective in the past year and is only blowing up even more and that strategy is video marketing. Taking a hard look at the benefits of video marketing for your online business is definitely worth it for numerous reasons.

Video marketing has many powers to make your online store way more attractive to customers. There have been many studies done on the way that video captures attention, for example. People don’t want to have to make their way through a long page of text or yet another pushy e-mail. A video is a much more interesting way to present your services or products as the customer’s friend rather than their salesperson. Establishing an emotional connection is another powerful reason to use video marketing. Even really good copy rarely makes people tear up, but there is something about watching a video that makes people instantly relate to your business. Videos make people laugh or cry much more easily than text.

Of course, getting your website noticed by the search engines is super important, and video really wins there. Video is great for organic website traffic, as it has been known to increase the number of people linking back to your website, drive more website visits, and higher click-through rates. People also tend to view videos as very valuable and they often will pay more for your services and share more details about themselves when you use video. It makes your business appear more professional and like something worth looking into.

As you are looking back on last year’s successes and maybe a few disappointments, I would encourage you to explore the benefits of video marketing as an important part of your revamped marketing strategy.
